Director Statement
More than one in five Americans, approximately 53 million people, mostly women, serve as unpaid family caregivers [Source: National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP. (2020). Caregiving in the U.S.]. Caregiving can be a difficult gift to give and to receive, but when accepted, it is priceless to both. Family caregivers deserve respect and need support! My intent is to bring attention to the challenges family caregivers face so that we become more empathetic and responsive to their needs.
